Inbound tour operator, Sri Lanka
We plan private journeys across Sri Lanka — ancient cities, tea country, wilderness and coastline — arranged entirely around your dates, your pace and how you actually want to travel.

Who we are
Green Isle Travels is a Sri Lankan inbound tour operator based in Pannipitiya. We plan and run private journeys across the island comfortable transport, handpicked hotels, and guides who live in the places you’ll be visiting.
Nothing on this site is a fixed package you have to squeeze yourself into. Every itinerary is built around your dates, your budget and your pace. Luxury or modest, five days or three weeks, temples or surf you tell us what the trip should feel like, and we arrange the rest.
Sri Lanka rewards travellers who slow down. Mist-covered tea hills, ruined cities older than most of Europe’s cathedrals, elephants at a waterhole at dusk, and a coastline you can still have to yourself. We build the days so there is room for all of it.
Whatever your itinerary turns out to be, you get one point of contact from the first email to the airport drop-off.
Outbound journeys are launching soon. We are putting together our own trips from Sri Lanka to destinations abroad — tell us where you’d like to go and we’ll let you know when they open.
Why travel with us
Sri Lanka has no shortage of tour operators. These are the reasons travellers come back to us, and send their friends.
Every itinerary starts from a blank page. Tell us your dates, your budget and how fast you like to move, and we draft a route around that — then keep redrafting until it's right.
A boutique villa above Galle Fort or a clean family guesthouse in Ella — we plan both with the same care. Your budget decides the hotels, not how much time we spend on your trip.
Private air-conditioned transport with the same driver-guide from arrival to departure. You are never handed between strangers at a provincial boundary, and your luggage stays where you left it.
Our guides live in the regions they show you. They know which morning to climb Sigiriya to beat the heat, which roadside stall is worth stopping at, and — when it matters — which sight to skip.
Where you can go
Sri Lanka is roughly the size of Ireland. Most itineraries take in three or four of these regions without a single internal flight.
Two thousand years of capitals, ruins and rock temples, all within an hour or two of each other.
Anuradhapura · Polonnaruwa · Sigiriya · Dambulla
Tea estates, cool air, and the train ride that people plan entire trips around.
Kandy · Nuwara Eliya · Ella · Horton Plains
Fort walls, surf breaks, whale boats, and the easiest beach days on the island.
Galle · Mirissa · Bentota · Weligama
Quieter and wilder, and at its best from May to September when the south is wet.
Trincomalee · Arugam Bay · Passikudah
Leopards, elephant herds and birdlife, in parks small enough to see properly in a morning.
Yala · Udawalawe · Wilpattu · Minneriya
Palmyra palms, Tamil temples and a food culture unlike anywhere else in the country.
Jaffna · Nainativu · Point Pedro · Delft
Not sure which of these belong in your trip? Tell us how long you have and what you like, and we'll put a route together.

Every journey here can be shortened, extended or rebuilt around your dates. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll send a draft itinerary within two working days.
All journeysTailor made
Very few travellers take a published itinerary exactly as it is. Send us a rough idea — your dates, how long you have, and what you actually care about — and we’ll build something around it.
There’s no charge for a draft itinerary and no obligation to book it.
Your dates, a rough budget, and the kind of days you want. A short paragraph is enough — we'll ask about the rest.
Day by day, with hotels named and drive times shown honestly — including the long ones. Usually back with you within two working days.
Swap a night, add a region, drop a temple you'd rather skip. We keep revising until it reads like your trip, and only then do we book anything.
A few lines is plenty. We’ll come back with questions, then a draft itinerary you can pull apart.
